(Greenfield) Two teenagers died, and two others were injured in a Head-on collision in Adair County.
The Iowa State Patrol says it happened at around 8:20 p.m. on 260th Street east of Winding Avenue. The Iowa State Patrol says two teens ages 15 and 16 from Winterset died in the crash. Marriah Love, 26, from Orient, and a three-year-old were injured in the accident.
Authorities say an eastbound 1999 Ford Escort driven by the 16-year old and a westbound 2017 Dodge Durango driven by 26-year old Marriah Love collided head-on at the crest in the middle of the gravel road.
The 16 and 15-year olds were pronounced deceased at the scene. A friend transported Marriah Love to the Adair County Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Lifeflight airlifted the 3-year old rear passenger to Blank Children’s Hospital in Des Moines.
