(Atlantic) A huge two –day auction featuring the late Wayne Kirchhoff’s collections of machinery toys, woodcarvings and more will be sold this Saturday and Sunday at 716 southwest 7th Street in Atlantic.
Wayne Kirchhoff was an avid collector who lived in rural Atlantic. Wayne passed away this past August and left his estate with over 1,000 toy machinery collectibles, woodcarvings, buckles and more. Darla Conn is one of Wayne’s nieces. She says her Uncle started collecting toy farm machinery decades ago.
But perhaps what Wayne Kirchhoff is most famous for is his impressive miniature barn displays. However, those barns will not be on the sale. Mr. Kirchhoff donated them to the Cass County Museum in Griswold.
The sale will be held on Saturday starting at 10:00 a.m. and Sunday beginning at 11:00 a.m. An open house will be held on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at 716 Southwest 7th Street and across from Lindeman Tractor and just west of Camblin Mechanical.
