(Atlantic) A man wanted by authorities for theft from the University of Iowa Hospital has been arrested.
The Red Oak Police Department says at approximately 10:30 a.m., Stuart James Andrew Sellers was taken into custody without incident in Atlantic. Mr. Sellers was observed by a concerned citizen exiting the stolen white 2006 Chevrolet 2500 in the Walmart parking lot. The concerned citizen began to follow Mr. Sellers at a distance while notifying the Atlantic Police Department and the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.
The Atlantic Police Department and Cass County Sheriff’s Office located Mr. Sellers in the area of the Scooter’s Coffee Shop in Atlantic. He was arrested without incident.
Mr. Sellers was transported from Atlantic to the Montgomery County Law Enforcement Center where he will be held on charges of Interference with Official Acts and Theft 2nd Degree. He also faces a plethora of other charges with the University of Iowa Police Department as well as a Federal Probation/Parole warrant
