(Holstein, IA) — Riverside continues its domination in boys cross country as they won the Tim Thomas Classic hosted by Ridge View High School on Saturday while Logan Magnolia won the girls side.
The Bulldogs won the Class B standings with 59 points well ahead of Kuemper Catholic in 2nd with 102. Owen Fenner was the top finisher for Riverside in 3rd place at 16:31.60. Cruz Jacquez was 6th (16:54.70); Eli Hudnall 11th (17:20.40); Trig Drahota 12th (17:29.70) and Nolan Burbridge also scored in 27th (18:27.80).
Lucas Wernimont of Sioux Central was the winner at 16:21.80 with Jacob Sporrer of Logan Magnolia in 2nd at 16:26.40. Landon Thayer of the Panthers was 4th at 16:40.10.
Owen Cogdill of Boyer Valley finished 10th (17:15.70). Brody Cogdill of Woodbine was 15th (17:37.50). Jayden Gach of Kuemper finished 16th (17:41.80) and Wyatt Wunschel of the Knights was 17th (17:43.30).
The top finisher for IKM Manning was Akeo Maynard in 32nd.
On the girls side, Logan Magnolia finished with 84 points with Ridge View in 2nd at 128. Leading the Panthers was Cecilia Troshynski in 11th (21:42.73) and Tenly Kurth in 12th (21:43.76). Diggins Deidre was 27th, Mykah Robbins 35th and Reese Kuhlman 37th.
Julia Swift of Bishop Garrigan was the winner at 19:48.44 with Taylor Heithoff of Kuemper Catholic in 2nd at 20:02.53.
Addisyn Bandow of IKM Manning finished 21st.
Azlyn Clark of Riverside finished 33rd.
Astelle Graham of AHSTW was 40th.
