(Undated) Today marks the 25th Anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks that claimed nearly 3,000 lives and changed the course of American history.
KSOM and KS95 Radio will broadcast the timeline of the attacks at approximately the same time these heinous attacks occurred on the U.S., from when the first plane struck at 7:46am local time on the morning of September 11, 2001, at 8:03 local Time, the second hijacked plane struck the second tower., at 8:37 local time., when American Airlines Flight 77 crashed into the pentagon, at 9:00 a.m. when passengers aboard United Airlines Flight 93 fought back against the hijackers avoiding the destruction of another target, and at 9:28, when Flight 93 crashed in Pennsylvania. The final day of remembrance will occur at 9:59 a.m. and 10:28 am., when the South Tower and North Tower collapsed, respectively.
2,763 people lost their lives, including the 343 first responders.
