(Audubon, IA) — The Audubon football lit up the scoreboard this past week with a 95-0 win over Griswold. Sophomore Brady Otten ran for 101 yards and 5 TD — the Wheelers had 351 yards on the ground. Kaleb Nelson got a fumble recovery for a TD and Jorgen Nowatzke returned a punt for a TD and had two more return TDs that were called back. Head Coach Sean Birks says that is a big weapon to have and he would like to get him more involved in the offense
Audubon has a German exchange student who is the kicker — Jakob Kurzewitz and he had 12 kickoffs last week and they were all touchbacks. Birks is happy with that
Kurzewitz is 11 of 16 on extra points and he tried a field goal last week that missed but Birks says it will not be long before he makes one
Audubon has a district game this week at winless Ar-We-Va.
