The Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union has released its latest high school volleyball rankings.
Despite not losing a game, Riverside fell one spot in Class 2A from #4 to #5. Hinton made the big jump in 2A from #7 to #3 after beating Bishop Heelan who is ranked 4th in 4A and former number one in 3A Cherokee. Red Oak is still #11 in 2A and Missouri Valley slipped one spot to #15.
Kuemper Catholic fell from #6 to #12 in Class 3A.
Lewis Central moved up three spots in Class 4A to #10.
There are three new number ones this week — Sioux Center in 4A replaces Norwalk: Humbolt in 3A replaces Cherokee; and Ankeny Christian moves up from #4 to the top spot in 1A replacing Janesville. Waukee Northwest is still #1 in 5A and Grundy Center is still #1 in 2A.
