(Glenwood) Glenwood Head Coach Cory Faust is pleased with the way his offense ran the ball last week in the 63-48 win over Atlantic. The Rams piled up 403 rushing yards and another 148 yards passing.
One of the standouts on offense was sophomore Joe Leick, who carried the ball seven times for 75 yards, for an average of 10.7 yards per carry.
Glenwood is at home again this week with the Harlan Cyclones in a non-district game. Harlan fell short to Underwood. Faust says the Cyclones are really good and should not be fooled by the Underwood score.
Coach Faust says the Cyclones are fundamentally sound, played hard, and have a lot of balance.
Cyclones quarterback Kreed Boggess completed 50 percent of his passes last Friday night for 103 yards and two touchdowns.
Faust says they are focusing on alignment and assignments, limiting turnovers, limiting mental errors, and playing hard.
Coach Faust also mentions they must improve defensively after giving up 48 points last week to Atlantic, including two Trojans Kickoff returns for touchdowns.
The game kicks off at 7:00 p.m. at Glenwood.
