(Atlantic) The Atlantic football team will travel to Shenandoah tonight for a scrimmage ahead of next week’s opener against Glenwood.
Jake Wailes took time out during media day at Trojan Bowl to speak with KSOM/KS95 Sports. Wailes led the team in tackles one year ago with 69 total stops, 46 solos, nine tackles for loss, and three sacks.
Wailes earned first-team all-district honors one year ago and worked on his speed to be even better this season.
Wailes is impressed with the linebacker corps’ preseason progress. He mentioned seniors Roland Hinman, Carter Hadley, Skylar Burcham, and Eric Albert.
The scrimmage starts at 6:00 p.m. at Shenandoah this evening.
