Schneider wants to focus on baseball so he made the difficult decision to not play football for Harlan his senior season and instead play for the Iowa Sticks — a developmental team. Schneider will practice in Des Moines every Tuesday and Thursday and will travel around the Midwest on the weekends to play games. Another player in the area on the team is Owen Duffek of Lewis Central. Schneider will get a chance to play the field, hit and also pitch and there are some areas he wants to work on
The goal is to get noticed by a Division I school to play baseball — its a sport that means a lot to him
Schneider says he intends to play basketball for Harlan in the winter and suit up again next summer for the Cyclones baseball team.
