(Underwood, IA) — When the Baseball Coaches released their All State Teams for the 2026 season, no local team got more recognition than Underwood. The Eagles got four players on the Class 2A teams and for that Ryker Adair, Coltin Johnson, Ryan Fletcher and Blake Brensel are the KSOM GG Harris Farm Bureau Financial Services Athletes of the Week.
Adair — a Senior Third Baseman — was named First Team All State in Class 2A. He hit .407 with 26 RBI and scored 31 runs for Underwood. Adair says his attention to small details made him a better player
Sophomore Coltin Johnson was named Second Team All State at 2nd Base — hitting .405 with 28 RBI. Adair says he really improved this year and showed his versatility
Sophomore Pitcher Ryan Fletcher was named Third Team All State — he was 7-1 with a 1.28 ERA in 12 games and 8 starts and Adair says he was needed on the mound
Sophomore Blake Brensel was Third Team at Utility with a 5-2 record and 3.92 ERA on the mound and hitting .378 with 5 HR and 34 RBI
Adair says Underwood is in good position to get back to the state tournament next year and in the seasons to come. Adair will be going to Iowa Western to study business this fall but right now does not have plans to play baseball.
