Two Arrested Following Domestic Assault Investigation in Villisca

(Red Oak) The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office arrested two people on assault charges on Saturday.

Sheriff’s Deputies responded to Villisca on a report of a domestic violence situation, which led to the arrest of 26-year-old Nathan Simmons on a charge of Domestic Abuse Assault 1st offense (a simple misdemeanor). Authorities also arrested 22-year-old Malana Howe, of Clarinda, for Domestic Abuse Assault, 1st offense (a simple misdemeanor).

Deputies transported both subjects to the Montgomery County Jail and held them without bond until they could be seen by a Magistrate Judge.
