Boone County Accident Claims the Life of a Boone County Woman

(Boone) A Boone County woman succumbed to her injuries in a two-vehicle crash in Boone County.

The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened on Tuesday at 11:02 a.m. on Highway 30 West and Corporal Snedden Drive. Authorities say 71-year-old Barbara Johnson died from her injuries on Wednesday, July 29, and 68-year-old Kevin B. Johnson suffered injuries in the crash. Both occupants are from Boone, Iowa.

According to the report, Johnson was traveling southbound on Corporal Snedden Drive and failed to stop and yield for a 2022 Chevy Silverado K2500 pickup driven by Cervantes. The pickup struck the KIA.

Barbara Johnson was airlifted from the scene and died from her injuries. Boone EMS transported Kevin Johnson to Methodist Hospital.
