Pottawattamie County Crash Claims 2 Lives

(Pottawattamie County) Two people died in a semi-crash on Interstate 29 in Pottawattamie County.

The Iowa State Patrol says the accident occurred at around 6:24 a.m. on Wednesday near the 66-mile marker. Authorities say 64-year-old Charles LeRoy Grandpre of Salina, Kansas, and 49-year-old Angela Dawn Blackwood of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, died in the crash.

According to the report, a northbound 2024 Kenworth semi driven by Grandpre left the road, traveled through cable barriers, and struck the median support column for the Rosewood Road Bridge.

Both occupants were transported to the Cutler O’Neil Funeral Home.
