(Atlantic, IA) — Atlantic Junior 1B Jillian Saathoff has been named Third Team All State in Softball according to the Iowa Girls Coaches Association.
In the initial printing of the All State team by the IGCA, Saathoff’s name was incorrectly omitted from the Class 3A list with another player listed instead. The correction has been made and the revised list is below.
Saathoff is certainly deserving of the honor after hitting .405 with 3 HR and 36 RBI for the Trojans. She also had 8 doubles, 1 triple, and scored 24 runs. Saathoff only committed one error during the season with an incredible .996 fielding percentage.
Saathoff and Zoey Kirchhoff were Third Team selections and Lila Wiederstein was a First Team All State honoree from Atlantic.
