Montgomery County Supervisors Approve Three Bridge Projects, Public Notice Resolution

(Red Oak) The Montgomery County Board of Supervisors approved construction plans for three construction projects in the county. Additionally, the supervisors approved an amended designation of physical and internet posting locations for public meeting notices, and tentative agendas pursuant to Iowa Code.

Montgomery County Auditor Jill Ozuna says House File 2490 states counties have to pass a yearly resolution and designate where the official physical and internet posting locations for public meeting notices and tentative agendas are.

The public notices will be displayed on the interior of the glass door on the south side of the courthouse at 105 E. Coolbaugh Street, and on the county’s primary internet website at www.montgomerycountyiowa.gov. Additionally, any amended agendas must be re-posted not less than 24 hours before a meeting at the same locations.

In other business, the supervisors approved construction plans for the following bridges:

*Bridge on 165^th Street north of 170^th. (The project includes replacing the bridge with a culvert).

*Grant Bridge on 5^th Street over the West Nodaway River. (The bridge will be replaced with a new Bridge)

*The 210^th Street bridge west of Boxelder Avenue. (This bridge will be replaced with another bridge).

The supervisors will meet again next Tuesday, August 4, at 9:00 a.m.
