Fatal Accident in Dubuque County

(Dubuque Co.) One person was killed and three others were injured in a two-vehicle accident in Dubuque County this (Monday) morning.

The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at 9:54 a.m. at Highway 52 and Double J Lane. An 81-year-old from Cedar Rapids was driving a 2022 Ford Escape northbound on Highway 52 and crossed the center line. The Escape struck a southbound 2017 Ford F250 head-on.

The driver of the Ford Escape was pronounced deceased on scene.

The driver of the Ford F250 and two passengers were transported to MercyOne Dyersville for minor injuries.
No names have been released.
