(Atlantic) Cass County Fair Board Association President Shane DeBord says that, for the welfare of the animals and the people attending the fair, they have decided to change the Beef Show to a one-part show instead of two. DeBord says the beef show will start at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, July 27, and will run until it is completed, including the final drive.
DeBord says the Beef Show will be completed at around noon. The auction and parade of champions will be held inside the air-conditioned Cass County Community Center. The building awards will start at 4:00 p.m., followed by the Bucket of Junk and pie auction starting around or a little after 5:30 p.m., followed by the Parade of Champions. There won’t be any animals. However, the champion exhibitors will be recognized.
As reported earlier, during the 28th Annual Double S Bull Company LLC presented the Cass County Fair Board with its 2025 Event of the Year award during Friday night’s 2026 Bull, Barrel Racing, and Bull Riding Extreme Show at the Cass County Fair.
Shane DeBord thanks the community for their support. He says they cannot do what they do without the hundreds of volunteers and the dollars that come in, along with the 4H and FFA youth and their families.
