Two People Hurt in Polk County Crash

(Polk County) Two people suffered injuries in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash in Polk County.

The Iowa State Patrol says the accident occurred at around 3:00 p.m. on Saturday near the 92-mile marker in the southbound lanes on Interstate 35. Authorities say 37-year-old Brian Christopher Geary and 39-year-old Ashley Nicole Thompson were injured in the crash.

According to the report, Geary was driving a southbound 2018 Harley-Davidson motorcycle when the rear tire blew out, causing the motorcycle to lose control and slide to the outside shoulder of I-35.

Ankeny EMS transported Geary and Thompson to Methodist Hospital in Des Moines.
