(Atlantic) The Atlantic Area Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with First Whitney Bank & Trust, has introduced a new look for AtlantiCash, the Chamber shop-local gift certificate program that helps keep local dollars in the Atlantic area.
More than $70,000 in AtlantiCash is sold each year, making it one of the Chamber’s most popular shop-local programs. Accepted at participating Atlantic Area Chamber member businesses, AtlantiCash gives recipients the flexibility to shop at a wide variety of local retailers, restaurants, service providers, and other Chamber member businesses.
The redesigned AtlantiCash features the Chamber’s updated branding. One important change is that newly issued AtlantiCash no longer expires. Older AtlantiCash with printed expiration dates are still valid and can be exchanged at the Chamber office for newly rebranded AtlantiCash of the same value.
AtlantiCash is available year-round at the Atlantic Area Chamber of Commerce and may be purchased by anyone using cash or check. It is sold in $5 and $20 denominations, making it a convenient gift for birthdays, holidays, employee recognition, customer appreciation, graduations, and other special occasions.
Each AtlantiCash purchase includes a current list of participating Chamber member businesses, and an updated list is always available at www.AtlanticIowa.com.

Every purchase keeps dollars circulating in Atlantic and helps strengthen the businesses that make our community a great place to live, work, and shop.
Businesses accepting AtlantiCash should process it just as they would a check. AtlantiCash may only be accepted by Atlantic Area Chamber member businesses and must be deposited into the business bank account. AtlantiCash cannot be redeemed for cash or used to purchase prepaid debit cards. If a purchase total is less than the value of the AtlantiCash, the remaining balance should be returned to the customer as cash.
