(Atlantic) The Atlantic High School Softball team and Head Coach Terry Hinzmann honored a volunteer on Monday evening for his volunteerism to the program.
“Behind every successful softball program is a dedicated team of volunteers. While the players get the glory on the field, parents like Chris Schroder handle the vital, unglamorous work that makes game days possible,” said Hinzmann.
During the June 15 games against Kuemper, the Trojan Softball Family took a moment to honor Schroder, the man who works tirelessly to keep the entire softball facility immaculate.
Hinzmann said, “Fans and athletes alike have undoubtedly noticed Chris’s handiwork as he readies the field before every varsity home game. However, his commitment extends far beyond basic game-day prep. Chris is well-known for dropping everything to support the program, always being the first to arrive wherever assistance is needed.”Whether it is executing late-night preparations at the Little League Complex for the Trojan Invitational or tending to the Trojan Softball facility hours after the final out has been made, Chris’s dedication never wavers.”
The Trojan Softball Team expressed its deepest appreciation for his valuable contributions, long-time commitment, and endless enthusiasm. “His behind-the-scenes efforts not only make the team’s operations run smoothly but also ensure the facility is a truly beautiful place to play and watch softball,” said Hinzmann.
