(Atlantic) #13 Atlantic hosts Ballard in a softball game at Atlantic this evening. The Trojans enter the contest with a 4-0 record. Ballard is 2-1.
Atlantic Head Coach Terry Hinzmann points to defense and pitching as the key to the Trojans’ success this week.
Offensively, Coach Hinzmann says they have been working on putting the ball in play, and that is what they have done over the last couple of games. The Trojans team batting average is .356 heading into tonight’s fifth game of the season.
Coach Hinzmann says there is one thing about Ballard, you know: they are going to be well-coached. He says they added the Bombers a couple of years ago to beef up their schedule.
The Atlantic High School Softball program will honor the 2016 Trojans softball team. The first to qualify for the state tournament in program history.
