(Atlantic) The Atlantic baseball team jumped out to an early lead, securing an 11-3 victory against Glenwood on Thursday night in Atlantic.
The Trojans made a strong start, scoring three runs in the first inning and adding five more in the second to take an 8-0 advantage.
The Rams responded with two runs in the third and another in the fourth, but the Trojans maintained their momentum, tallying one run each in the third, fourth, and fifth innings to clinch the win.
The Rams finished with three runs on four hits, while Atlantic racked up 11 runs on seven hits.
Gavin McLaren led the Trojans at the plate, contributing a single, a home run, and four RBIs. Teammates Hudson McLaren, Sawyer Tarrell, Zayden Parker, Keston Schmitt, and Grant Petty each added singles to the tally.
On the mound, Jack Muller earned the victory for Atlantic, allowing three runs (one earned) on four hits, striking out eight batters while walking five across four innings. Hudson McLaren secured the save, facing no hits or runs, walking three, and recording six strikeouts.
Next, the Trojans are set to travel to CAM tonight.
