(Council Bluffs) The Atlantic girls track team captured the team title Tuesday at the Lewis Central Co-Ed meet, scoring 156 points. Atlantic won six events added four second-place finishes, and four third-place finishes. Clarinda was runner-up with 104 points.
Lila Wiederstein led the Trojans, winning the 200 meters in 25.87 and the long jump with a mark of 16-09.25, while also running on the first-place 4×100 and 4×200 relays. Stella Van Aernam claimed the 100 meters in 12.51. Jayci Reed placed second in the 100-meter hurdles in 15.60, and Faith Larsen finished second in the discus with a throw of 103.00. Third-place finishes included Braleigh Hass in the 100 meters (12.88), Stella Van Aernam in the 200 meters (26.14), Adler Bruce in the 400-meter hurdles (1:12.48), and Olivia Olson in the discus (100-00).
