(Shenandoah) The Atlantic Boys’ Golf team is off to a hot start. The Trojans captured the team title at the Mustang Invitational at Shenandoah on Tuesday. The top finish follows showings at the Des Moines-Christian Invitational last week and a 146-150 dual win over Kuemper on Monday.
The Trojans won the tournament with a 317. Gage Gross continues to impress, earning medalist honors with a three-over-par 73. This is Gross’s second consecutive eighteen-hole tournament victory. The junior shot a one-under-par 71 last week to win the tourney at Jester Park.
Elsewhere for the Trojans, Sam Brosam shot a 78 and finished fifth, Hudson McLaren fired an 82 and finished 13th, and Brady Wood finished 21st with an 84. Jack Muller shot 92, and Braxton Hass carded a 96.
