(Atlantic) The 2026 High School and Middle School State Archery Tournament wrapped up at the Iowa State Fairgrounds on Sunday. DNR Tournament officials say 145 schools from across Iowa competed in the event this weekend. The Atlantic Archery Team finished 12th overall in the 3D portion of the Tournament, and 13th in the Bullseye.
In 3D, Atlantic shot a team score of 1,653. Grant Petty led the team with a 381. Petty’s score ranked 11th among high school juniors, 26th in the high school boy’s division, and 35th overall. Madeline Blake posted the second highest score with a 279. This ranked 8th highest among high school seniors, 21st in the high school division, and 26th overall. Hunter Quist posted the third highest score with a 276. Quist’s score ranked 14th among high school seniors, 57th place in the high school division, and 81st overall in the boy’s division.
In Bullseye Atlantic shot a team score of 3,301. Hunter Quist led the Trojans with a 16th overall finish in the boy’s division, seventh amongst high school seniors, and 13th overall in the High School Boy’s with a score of 289. Shauna Anderson posted the second highest score for the Trojans with a 282. Anderson’s score ranked 8th amongst high school senior girls, and 24th among all high school girl’s shooters, and 32 overall. Grant Petty shot a 282 18th highest amongst high school juniors, 65th in the high school division, and 83rd overall. Elynor Brummer posted the fourth highest score for the Trojans with a 280. Her score ranked 16th amongst senior girls, 44th in the high school girl’s division, and 55th overall.
