(Atlantic) Atlantic senior Gavin McLaren is off to a great start this track season, both in the field and on the track.
On Saturday at the NW Missouri Indoor Kick-off Meet, returning state qualifier Gavin McLaren finished runner-up in the Shot Put with a strong early-season performance, with a throw of 53-04.50. The Division I football recruit also led off the fourth-place Sprint Medley Team, consisting of McLaren, Shelton Mualia, Dane Wiederstein, and Colin Rudy. The quad clocked a 3:54.15.
In a recent interview with KSOM/KS95 Sports, Gavin McLaren had this to say about the upcoming track season and moving on to South Dakota State University this fall.
Gavin will be moving on to South Dakota State University this fall to play football for the Jackrabbits.
