(Area) The blizzard warning for a portion of southwest Iowa is no longer in effect, however, a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 10:00 a.m. for Audubon, Adair, Adams, Cass, Guthrie, Union, Taylor and Ringgold counties. Winds gusting as high as 40 to 50 mph this morning will continue to cause blowing snow.
A Cold Weather Advisory is in effect until 10:00 a.m. for Harrison, Shelby, Pottawattamie, Montgomery, Audubon, Guthrie, Cass, and Adair. The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 20 to 30 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
