(Harlan, IA) — Dean Mosher’s first season as Boys Basketball Head Coach at Harlan did not go 100 percent as planned — it was the 2nd year in a row that the Cyclones suffered double digit losses with a 7-14 mark. Despite the roller coaster year, Mosher says it was a good group of guys to coach and the team were in the majority of their games. Harlan loses three seniors that were all starters — Dallas McDowell (15.5 ppg), Jake Wageman (4.1 ppg) and Gabe Arkfeld (3.0 ppg) and Mosher says it was a good group
Harlan returns two starters — Juniors Colton Schneider (7.1 ppg) and Kobe Klaassen (11.9 ppg) who Mosher says does more than just score
Young players that will fight for more playing time include Sophomores Foxx Argotsinger, Kreed Boggess, and Cole Koesters plus Juniors Cade Nelson and Luke Ineson. Mosher says the biggest priority for the team is to get in the gym and put the peach in the peach basket
Mosher says the biggest challenge for him in his first year as head coach was more responsibility, dealing with game situations and dealing with the pressure of winning but he is looking forward to another season and growing and learning.
