(Avoca, IA) — If you looked at AHSTW Boy’s Basketball team’s 7-16 record, you might not know how good they were or how hard they competed. Those are the words of Head Coach GG Harris and he is right — the Vikings had a tough road in the Western Iowa Conference and pushed some really good teams to their limits. Harris says they got better as the season went on and they did a lot of right things
Senior Collin Harder led the team in scoring at 13.8 ppg but not by much over his younger brother Sophomore Evan Harder who went from averaging 3.7 points to 13 points per game in one season
AHSTW will be well positioned next season to improve with a big sophomore class with Harder, Kayden Sandbothe, Kavin Rold, Cam Dresen, Dayton Osbahr, Donovan Behrens and Parker Krohn
AHSTW also has freshman Kiptyn Lamp. The Vikings lose five seniors — Collin Harder, Kaden Jorgensen, Drew Lee, Ty Nelson and Drake Anderson.
