(Atlantic) The Cass County Library Association (CCLA) will hold a Pizza, Puzzle, & Pub Night on Friday, April 10th at the Venue in Atlantic to raise funds for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library program in Cass County.
The event is a race to complete a 300-piece puzzle, eat a large pizza, and drink 12 bottled or canned beverages. Those who choose to drink alcoholic beverages should come with appropriate ID. Teams of 4 can register for $120 and individuals can watch the event for $10. There will be other “puzzle up” opportunities for an extra charge during the event. Cash bar will also be open and tips are encouraged. Teams that dress up or decorate their table with the theme “Find Your Joy” will earn a free puzzle up.
Find Your Joy is the theme for National Library Week April 19-25.
Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a book gifting program that sends a book each month to registered children under 5 years old. CCLA raises funds to cover the cost of the books. It costs about $32 annually per registered child. Over 500 children in Cass County have been enrolled with 339 children currently receiving books each month.
Registration for the fundraiser (including payment by cash or check) is required by April 3 using the online form. You can request assistance to register at any Cass County library.
