(Atlantic) Atlantic Receiver and Defensive End Brock Goodrich is looking forward to competing for the South squad in the 54th Annual North-South Shrine Football game this summer.
Goodrich capped off his senior season with 11 catches for 172 yards, averaging 15.6 yards per catch. On defense, Goodrich played havoc in the opponent’s offensive backfield with eight tackles for loss and six sacks. While Goodrich has already met some of his South Squad teammates, he is looking forward to joining the rest of the team as well.
Brock is taking his talents to Northwestern College in Orange City next fall. He is looking forward to this next chapter in his life.
Meanwhile, the Shrine Bowl All-Star Classic is scheduled for July 25 at the UNI Dome in Cedar Falls, featuring the top high school football players from across Iowa. Teams are divided into North and South squads, each led by a head coach and six assistants.
The South team is coached by Glenwood Head Coach Cory Faust, with assistance from Cody Matthewson, Peter Killburg, Conner Hanafan, Michael Joyner, Matt Jones, and Dustin Elsbury.
The Iowa Shrine Bowl is a long-standing tradition that combines athletic competition with charitable support for Shriners Hospital for Children.
