(Anita, IA) — It was a roller coaster ride for the CAM boys basketball team this season. There were highs like a 66-52 win over state tournament team Woodbine and there were lows as well. The result was a 9-14 season. The Cougars will lose three seniors — Collin Bower (14.5 ppg, 10.8 rbg), Gunnar Hogueison (11.6 ppg, 7.2 rbg) and Owen McKnight. Head Coach Ian Hunt says all three will be tough to replace
Losing starters Bower and Hogueison will leave a void inside for CAM and Hunt will turn to Juniors Calen Anstey (4.4 ppg) who started 14 games this season and Madden Cary to carry things on in the paint
CAM will have three junior starters at the guards coming back — Braxton Dennis (10.0 ppg), Kayden Winther (7.8 ppg) and Carson McKee (4.2 ppg). Hunt is excited to see his freshmen and sophomores develop into the rotation
Hunt says that the emphasis in the off-season is to get in the weight room and get stronger plus he will change up the defense with the team losing some size this year.
