(Cass Co.) The Cass County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday approved the release of responsibility for maintenance of Crooked Creek Watershed site 12-C-1 in Benton Township to Glenn Ellen Farms Inc.
Board Chair Steve Baier explained that this is an almost 60-year-old project that involved the county, the Iowa DNR, and State Conservation.
In other business, the Supervisors approved the 28E Agreement for Southwest Iowa Juvenile Emergency Services and authorized the Chair to sign on behalf of the County. Baier said the agreement is the same as it has been for many years.
The Board then set Tuesday, March 24 at 9:00 a.m. as the public hearing for the proposed FY27 tax levy, and Tuesday, April 14 at 9:00 a.m. as the public hearing for the FY27 budget.
The Supervisors also approved a resolution implementing a temporary vacancy review procedure for approving the filling of positions.
