(Audubon, IA) — During the public comment section of Tuesday’s meeting, the board heard from resident Monte Dreher of Hamlin, who said that unleashed dogs have threatened his and fellow residents’ pets and livestock. Dreher said that one of his cats was attacked by two dogs Sunday and a neighbor’s donkey has been threatened on several occasions as well:
Dreher asked the board to collaborate with Sheriff Todd Johnson on a potential solution, and the board agreed.
In other items, the board approved a motion from Ben Linde and John Hansen for the construction of an IT room at Secondary Roads, as well as a temporary moratorium on a battery and energy storage resolution.
The Audubon County Board of Supervisors will continue to hold their regular meetings every Tuesday.
