(Bagley, IA) — The Bagley Public Library in Guthrie County has closed. At Tuesday’s Guthrie County Board of Supervisors meeting, County Auditor Dani Fink reported that an employee reached out to her and said that the library has been closed down by the city
The Board of Supervisors does contribute money to the Bagley Public Library but it goes through the Library Association and checks are then cut to each individual library. Supervisor Brian Johnson says it will be difficult for small town libraries to function
Johnson says he will go to a meeting scheduled for tonight at 5:00 pm to discuss the Bagley Public Library’s future.
