(Cleveland OH) — A health expert is highlighting the fact that showing kindness can actually help with chronic pain.
Doctor Trishul Kapoor, a pain management specialist at the Cleveland Clinic, says research has found a connection between the pathways that signal pain and other parts of the brain, including emotion.
He says when someone is kind to themselves and others, their brain releases happy hormones, which can in turn improve chronic pain. He says the opposite can be true as well with not being kind.
