(Calhoun) The Iowa State Patrol has released more details on a fatal bus crash in Calhoun County.
19-year-old Carter Johnson of Rapid City, South Dakota, died in the accident. Several others were injured. The bus was carrying the Iowa Lakes community College baseball team.
According to the report, the bus was southbound on Highway 4, near Marengo Avenue, when the driver failed to negotiate the curve and started to enter the area between the two roads when the driver over corrected, causing the bus to roll over onto its side. Two of the bus occupants were ejected from the bus and were trapped underneath.
