(Underwood, IA) — Underwood will host the Class 1A, District 11 tournament in boys wrestling this Saturday. Eagles Head Coach Jon Williams says the talent level will be high — there are only three brackets that potentially will not have a ranked wrestler in it. Sophomore Ryan Fletcher is 38-4 and is ranked 6th at 132 pounds — Williams says he has been working to improve himself all season
Freshman Owen Fletcher is 30-14 and will wrestler at 126 pounds which is one of the brackets that is wide open. At 175, Kaleb Nelson is ranked 7th with a 34-7 record and Williams says he will be tough to beat on Saturday
Also for Underwood, Freshman Jace Blum is 32-16 at 144; Junior Holden Durick is 27-17 at 165; Sophomore Coltin Johnson is 30-15 at 190; and Sophomore Sam Taylor is 14-14 at 215. Williams says that the Eagles were young this season
Other schools competing on Saturday include AHSTW, Missouri Valley, Southwest Iowa, St. Albert, Treynor, Tri Center, Westwood, Woodbine and Woodbury Central.
