(Audubon) The City of Audubon is accepting bids for contracted mowing services at Audubon’s parks and Arlington Heights and Maple Grove Cemeteries.
According to the City of Audubon website, this is a three-year contract covering April 1, 2026, through March 31, 2029. The selected individual will serve as an independent contractor and will be paid monthly. The contractor is responsible for providing all labor, equipment, tools, fuel, and supplies necessary to complete the work. Proof of insurance is required.
The contract includes cemetery maintenance as outlined below, along with mowing, trimming, and weed spraying for all listed parks.

Cemetery Maintenance Responsibilities
- Provide general lawn care, including mowing, trimming, and weed spraying at reasonable times and in a manner that maintains the cemetery grounds in good condition and appearance. This includes removing leaves and small branches. (Removal of fallen trees and large tree debris is the responsibility of the City.)
- Reseed all new graves as soon as the weather permits, following each burial. The contractor is responsible for supplying seed.
- Ensure cemetery mowing and trimming are completed by the end of the day on the Wednesday prior to Memorial Day.
- Remove all flowers and decorations following Memorial Day each year.
