(Boone, IA) — The Iowa High School Athletic Association has released the Class 1A and 2A playoff brackets for the upcoming playoffs.
For Class1A, in Substate 6, Madrid is the one seed in District 11 with St. Albert the one seed in District 12. The Falcons will face the winner of Griswold and Sidney who play in the preliminary round on Friday, February 13. In Substate 7, Southwest Valley is the one seed in District 13 and Fort Dodge St. Edmond is the one seed in District 14. In Substate 8, Coon Rapids Bayard is the one seed in District 15 while Boyden Hull is the one seed in District 16.
In Class 2A, Treynor, Underwood, and Tri Center were all put in different districts as #1 seeds. Underwood and Treynor are both in Substate 7 while Tri Center is in Substate 8 with Hull Western Christian the other #1 district seed. District number one seeds in 2A have a first round bye.
Playoff brackets in Class 3A and Class 4A will be released next Monday, February 16.
