(Atlantic) Vision Atlantic is hosting a meeting soon with local licensed realtors, brokers, and agents to outline plans for the 142-unit Camblin Hills Housing Development and officially to discuss the future sales of the new homes and condominiums.
Vision Atlantic Vice President Nick Hunt says the meeting will focus on pricing for the lots, condominiums, and houses. He adds that the housing covenants, conditions, and restrictions have been signed and that the properties will be ready for sale in the near future.
He says four contractors are working on this project, and they have made significant progress. Meanwhile, more money is needed to kick in the $8.6 million in Lakin Foundation funds for the YMCA expansion project and the 300-capacity childcare development center. Hunt says Vision Atlantic needs to raise about $5 million to reach its $39 million goal by December 31, 2026.
The housing project is financed through a $23 million revolving loan from the Lakin Foundation. According to Nick Hunt, the loan will be repaid to the foundation as each housing unit is sold. The five million dollars that still needs to be raised now is for the YMCA and the childcare center.
