Linda Kay Clute was born on February 20, 1961 in Fort Madison, Iowa, the daughter of Verle and Diana (Swink) Clute. Linda entered into eternal peace on January 21, 2026, at her home in Oakland.
Her early years were spent in Burlington, Iowa, where she graduated from high school. She later lived in Ottumwa before settling in Oakland. Linda’s love for children led to a career of over 30 years with Little Stars Daycare. Her favorite hobbies included crafting, bowling, cooking, baking, and watching Hallmark movies. She was also a dedicated fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Above all, family vacations and time spent with her loved ones were most precious to her. She had a deep love for her sons, and being a grandmother brought her immense happiness.
Linda was preceded in death by her father, Verle Clute; her mother and stepfather, Diana and Paul Flactiff; and her brother, Larry Clute.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Josh Wilke and his wife Magaly, and Billy Wilke; her three grandchildren, Issac, Amira, and Ayden Wilke; her brothers, Mark Flactiff, Brent Clute, and Raymond Clute; her sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Watson and Damilla Clute; and many nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends. Linda’s memory will continue to live on through the family and friends she cared for so deeply throughout her life.
