The Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union released this week’s basketball rankings. The 1A playoffs begin in just over 3 weeks on Thursday, February 12 and the top 8 teams in each class will be number one seeds in their region so every game is important until the brackets are released.
There is little movement in Class 1A — Newell Fonda stays at #1, Bishop Garrigan #2 and St. Albert #3. Exira EHK is still ranked #8.
Rock Valley is still #1 in 2A. Treynor moved up one spot to #6. After Riverside lost on Tuesday to Glenwood, the Bulldogs fell to that key #8 spot. Nodaway Valley stays at #14.
