(Des Moines) The National Weather Service is forecasting snowfall in portions of Iowa later today and into tonight.
The forecaster says accumulating snow is most likely in northern and northeastern Iowa, where 1-3 inches are expected, with locally higher amounts possible.
Winds will be light during this event, but snow-covered roads may still make travel difficult at times.
