(Griswold, IA) — Griswold will be hosting a boys wrestling invitational on Saturday with 14 total teams. Bedford, CAM, Coon Rapids Bayard, CBAL, Denison Schleswig, East Mills, Essex, Lenox, Lewis Central, St. Albert, Treynor, Tri Center, and Woodbine will all be competing. Tigers Head Coach Bob Amos says this tournament suffered in numbers in recent years and he is trying to get back to where it once was
The Tigers Launie Smith has been wrestling at the 285 pound class and so far has a 18-9 record but Amos says the plan is for him to move down in weight
Amos hopes his guys will be motivated to wrestle their best on Saturday and defend their mat
The wrestling starts Saturday at 10 am at Griswold High School.
