(Atlantic) Atlantic School Superintendent Dr. Beth Johnsen provided an update on the building projects to the Atlantic School Board Wednesday evening.
In November, Atlantic School District voters approved a General Obligation Bond of up to $22.5 million to fund classroom additions, secure entrance upgrades, and other improvements at Washington Elementary, Schuler Elementary/Middle School, and the High School, along with renovations and site improvements across district facilities.
Dr. Johnsen said they are on a tight timeline.
Dr. Johnsen said they have spent a significant amount of time working with school attorneys to review legal documents. She added that once everything is in place and the board reaches the point of offering a contract to a construction management company, the process should become a bit easier.
