(Boulder, CO) — Its not panic time for Iowa St. women’s basketball but its getting close. The 19th ranked Cyclones losing streak has stretched to four games, falling at Colorado 68-62.
ISU led 29-25 at the half but the Buffaloes would take its first lead with about 2 minutes left in the third quarter thanks to a 6-0 run. It was tied at 42-42 going to the 4th quarter but Colorado went on a mini 6-0 run to take a 48-42 lead. The Cyclones came back to tie it at 52-52 but Tabitha Betson hit back-to-back three pointers that did in ISU. Desiree Wooten dropped in another triple with 46 seconds left to seal ISU’s fate.
Wooten came off the bench for a season high 24 points including 3-6 on her threes. Jade Masogayo had 15 points and Zyanna Walter added 10. Anaelle Dutat had 9 points and 12 rebounds for Colorado (12-6, 3-3).
Iowa St. (14-4, 2-4) was led by Audi Crooks with 17 points and 15 rebounds while Sydney Harris had 16. The Cyclones did have 11 threes in the game but also had 17 turnovers.
