Jolene Louise Morgan-Wurtz passed away October 31, 2025 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She reached the age of 63 years, 11 months and 7 days.
Jolene was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Donald Wurtz of Atlantic, Iowa; one daughter Jennifer Morgan of Atlantic, Iowa; her sister Janet (Dennis) Cavner of Atlantic, Iowa; two nephews and other family and relatives.
Jolene was born in Red Oak, Iowa December 7, 1961. She graduated from the Atlantic High School in 1979. Following graduation, she worked in nursing homes in many positions until she retired due to health issues.
On June 21, 2014 Jolene married Donnie Wurtz in Atlantic and made home in Atlantic.
When she was younger, she played darts with friends. She was a big NASCAR fan as she was a football fan especially when the chiefs and Hawkeye played.
The memorial service will be held on January 17th, 2026 at 222 Chestnut Street in the Downtowner party room from 11a-1p
