(Glenwood, IA) — Glenwood hosted a girls wrestling triangular and a boys quad on Thursday night.
On the girls side, Red Oak went 2-0 beating the Rams 40-36 and beating Shenandoah 45-12. Torrie McFarland for the Tigers beat Brooklyn Coover of Glenwood by fall 21 seconds in extra time. Jaelyn McAlpin won her only match by fall. Janae Schwery on her only match by fall. Amber Rea went 2-0 with a MD and 6-0 win.
Glenwood beat Shenandoah 60-15. For the Rams, Ahna Grassau and Lauralyse Spencer won their only matches by fall. For Shenandoah, Kyndil Rystrom went 2-0 with 2 falls.
On the boys side, Glenwood went 3-0 in a Quad beating Lewis Central 37-36, beating Red Oak 78-3, and beating Shenandoah 71-11. Benn Christensen went 3-0 with 3 falls; Nile Lundvall went 3-0 with 2 falls; Quinn Lane went 3-0 with 3 falls; Mason Koehler went 2-0 with a fall; Drake Buthe went 2-0 with 2 falls; Joseph Leick went 2-0 with a fall.
Lewis Central beat Red Oak 69-12 and beat Shenandoah 54-27. Shenandoah beat Red Oak 48-23. Dayton Gusman for the Tigers went 3-0 with a fall. For Shenandoah, Jacob McGargill was 3-0 with 3 falls and Hayden Roush was 3-0 with a fall and 2 tech falls.
